ANEMIA MANAGEMENT
Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells to provide oxygen to body tissues. Having low levels of either iron, vitamin B12 or folic acid in your body may also result in anemia.
People with kidney disease often get anemia because a kidney hormone called erythropoietin (EPO) is reduced or no longer produced. Upon diagnosis of anemia we recommend a number of treatment options.
